Magnesia refractory mortar is an amorphous refractory material used for laying magnesia refractory bricks. The MAGNESIA MORTAR. The quality of refractory mortar determines the quality of the entire kiln construction. The destructive power of the kiln at high temperatures often starts with the refractory mortar between the weak refractory bricks. Therefore, in order to optimize the service life of the kiln, it is necessary to choose a refractory mud with good performance.

First, Magnesium Fire Mud Formula
Magnesium fire mortar refers to magnesium oxide as the main material, adding an appropriate amount of stabilizer, slurry, hardener and other composite materials. The common ingredients of magnesium fire mud mainly include the following:
1. Magnesium oxide (MgO) : about 60% to 80% of the total formula.
2. Stabilizer: mainly alumina (Al2O3) and silicon oxide (SiO2), accounting for about 10% to 30% of the total formula.
3. Slurry: Mainly clay, kaolin and other thin clay, used to increase the plasticity and ductility of fire mortar.
4. Hardener: water glass, phosphate, boric acid and other substances can be added according to needs to help solidify the fire mortar.
The proportion of each material in the formula can be adjusted according to actual needs to achieve the desired fire resistance.
Second, the production process
1. Pretreatment of raw materials. The magnesium oxide is evenly dispersed in the water and stirred for 1-2 hours to form a uniform magnesium oxide slurry. Add stabilizer and paste to the paste and mix evenly until there is no granular body.
2. Fire clay molding. Pour the mixture into the mold to form. The molding pressure should be adjusted according to actual needs.
3. Hardening. The formed magnesia fire mortar needs to be hardened and cured. It can be placed in an incubator at 20-30 ° C, and static hardening under appropriate humidity conditions generally takes 24-48 hours.
4. Processing. The hardened magnesia fire mortar can be cut, ground, and struck to achieve the desired size and shape.
Third, precautions
1. Pay attention to safety during the production process to prevent the fire mortar dust from causing injury to the operator.
2. In the preparation process, it should be formulated in strict accordance with the formula proportion to ensure the stability and fire resistance of magnesium fire mud.
3. Fire mortar molding needs to control the pressure, and part of the molding can be carried out by the way of mold support.
4. During the hardening and curing process, it is necessary to strictly control the temperature, humidity and other conditions to ensure the quality and performance of magnesium fire mortar.
5. In the processing process, it is necessary to pay attention to protect or reduce the humidity of the fire mortar. To prevent the fire mud cracking, cracking, and other situations.
Properties of Magnesia Mortar
1. Good plasticity, convenient construction.
2. Large bonding strength, and strong corrosion resistance.
3. High refractoriness, up to 1650℃±50℃.
4. Good slag invasion resistance.
5. Good heat stripping.
Application of Magnesia Mortar Products
Magnesia refractory mortar is mainly used as the ash joint filling material of magnesia refractory brick, magnesia aluminum brick, magnesia chrome brick, and so on, and as the protective coating of magnesia masonry.
Warm reminder by Rongsheng Company:
1. In principle, what quality of firebrick is used, it is necessary to use the corresponding quality of refractory mortar.
2. Due to the thixotropy of magnesium refractory mortar, it is necessary to hit it from the barrel before use until it becomes soft for easy use.
3. According to the national standard GB2274-80, magnesium refractory mortar is divided into two grades MF-82 and MF-78 according to physical and chemical indexes.
